Tweetsie Railroad

Do your children love trains? Are you looking for an old fashioned family friendly activity? If so, then be sure to spend a day at Tweetsie! The Tweetsie Railroad, named as such for the shrill “tweet-tweet” sound made by its train, is a historic steam locomotive, Number 12, which is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places.

While at the park, your family can visit the Tweetsie Jail on Main Street, the games and rides in County Fair, or test your aim at the shooting gallery and arcade. On Miner’s mountain there is a playground, Deer Park, face painting, and a place to go gem mining. There is also puppet shows, magicians and illusionist and other attractions designed to delight the whole family.
