Just outside of Charlotte,
NC is the Lowes Motor Speedway, where from May to October,
racing enthusiast can come to cheer for their favorite NASCAR
personality. Each Memorial Day weekend fans come to watch
the drivers race at nearly 200mph at the Coca-Cola 600—a
races second only in size to the Indianapolis 500 which
held the same day.
Lowes Motor Speedway also hosts the legends Car Summer Shootout each Tuesday during the summer. Legend’s includes replicas of Fords and Chevrolets from the 1930’s & ‘40’s. There are games, activities, and entertainment from the world’s fastest mascot, Lugnut. Other events at the Speedway are auto shows, motorcycle racing, go-cart racing, and tours of the facility.
